Westphalia Age 79, died on February 16, 2008. Our dear friend, Dolores heard the voice of Jesus say "Come my beloved child, your winter-time is past. The rains have stopped. Come into my heavenly home where the birds are singing and the flowers are in bloom for you. Dolores born on February 12, 1929 in Westphalia the daughter of Anthony and Theresa (Pohl) Spitzley. She was lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a member of the Christian Mothers Womens Guild, and a member of the Companions of the Blessed Mother Pauline. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronald. Dolores is survived by her sister, Lilly Mae (Norbert) Fox; and by her nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her many friends who cared for her these many years. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, Westphalia. The rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m, Tuesday and 3 p.m., Wednesday. A Scriptural Wake service will be held at 8 p.m., Wednesday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may made to a educational trust fund that is being established in memory of Dolores. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
