Gilbert, Doris M. Portland Age 85, passed away, Wednesday, January 28, 2004. She was born on April 20, 1918 in Portland the daughter of Byron and Flossie (Galloway) Aldrich. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of the First Congregational Church in Portland. She enjoyed fishing and traveling with her husband, Leo and her friend, Dorothy Judd. She was preceded in death by her husband, siblingsVirgiline Guilford, Allen Aldrich, William Aldrich, and her twin sister, Dorothy Aldrich. Surviving are daughters, Beverley (Richard) Parkhouse of Portland and Donna Hirschman of Satsuma, Florida; son, Michael (Deborah) Lorichon of Portland; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. A Memorial will be conducted by Rev. Marilyn V. Danielson, Pastor at 11: 00 a.m., Monday, February 23, 2004 at First Congregational Church, 421 E. Bridge St. Portland. Interment will be Portland Cemetery. There will be no funeral visitation. For those wishing, contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church Guild in memory of Mrs. Gilbert.
