Dorothy M. Allen Ionia Age 77 passed away on Monday, December 18, 2006 in Ionia. Dorothy loved wildlife and nature. She owned her owned ceramics business and taught ceramics for over 30 years, including time spent working in Grand Rapids. Dorothy also ran or was involved with the craft department for the Ionia Free Fair for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 1996. Surviving are a son Rick and Judy Allen of Ionia; granddaughter, Traccie and Eric Lower of Ionia; 6 Great Grandchildren; Brother Gerald and Dorothy Reiger of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Ionia. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Ionia.
