<p>Dorothy Lucille (Wilcox) Kissane</p><p>Portland</p><p>Age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016. She was born on April 16, 1919 the daughter of Harry and Myrtle (Martin) Wilcox. Dorothy was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at Wilcox-Gay Television Co. covering the TV boxes with leather frames using special tools. Dorothy then worked for Ionia Manufacturing Co. where she sewed tarps onto Army jeeps. She retired from Fisher Body in Lansing after 28 years of service. Dorothy loved cooking, gardening, bingo, dancing and being with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Leo Kissane; son, James Dale Kissane; great grandson Zachary Clark; siblings Earnest Wilcox, Howard Wilcox, Helen Melstead, Ivan Wilcox, Ethlyn Feehan, Leta Winkerinck, Frances Adams and Harold Wilcox . Surviving are her children: Doug (Carleen) Kissane, Marlene (Larry) Schrauben, Linda Wohlfert, Tom (Toni) Kissane, Kathy Clark and Pat (Mike) VerPlanck; 21 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 6 great, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or to the Fr. Flohe Association in memory of Dorothy.
