Portland Dorothy E. Neller was born on March 17, 1912 in a log cabin on Cutler Road to George and Carrie Josephine (Fuller) Snow. She attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Portland High School, Salutatorian of her class in 1930. Dorothy met Harvey Neller at Epareth League at the Portland Methodist Church. They were married November 29, 1933 at a small ceremony at the Neller Funeral Home. Together they owned and operated the Neller Funeral Home. Dorothy was a life member of the O.E.S. #258 and was the oldest living member of the Portland United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey. Surviving are her daughter, Judy (Jon) Royston of Portland; son, Keith (Rosemary) Neller of Portland; grandchildren Kristina (Martin) Neller-Fowler of Stuart, FL, Kent (Jennifer) Neller of Novato, CA, Todd Royston of Portland, Sean (Jennifer) Royston of Cottage Grove, WI, and Renee (Gary) Fulkerson of Eagle; 4 great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Keith Treman at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home (formerly Neller Home), 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Interment will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior the funeral service on Monday.
