Doug Ryan Wilcox Grand Ledge, formerly of Portland Doug R. Wilcox, age 37, passed away June 27, 2017. Doug left this earth to join his Dad, who he loved very much. A Dad that instilled in him a great love of family, strong work ethic, and to always be thankful for God’s blessings. Doug was born February 7, 1980 to Eugene and Patty (Kloeckner) Wilcox in Lansing, Michigan. He had a love for tractors, cars and trucks, and farming. Doug enjoyed being outdoors, especially when dirt bike racing, golfing, fishing, canoeing, and sitting around the campfire. He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Wilcox; grandparents, Art and Mildred Kloeckner and Ivan and Bernita Wilcox; uncle, Dale Kloeckner; and cousins, Chris and Wally. Doug is survived by his dear mother, Patti Wilcox; brothers, Dean Wilcox of Greenville and Darren Wilcox of Comstock Park; sister, Darcy (Mick) Dowd of Brighton; nieces, Erin, Lauren, Nikki, and Miysha; and many special, farm friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 345 Edwards Street, Grand Ledge, with Fr. James Eisele presiding. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
