Douglas E. Pitch Nashville, MI. formerly of Portland Age 64, passed away on June 11, 2007. He was born on May 25, 1943 the son of Ernest and Louise (Huhn) Pitch. Doug retired in 1994 from Fisher Body after 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and especially riding his favorite horse, P.J. but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Oliver. Surviving are his wife, Janice; daughters Vickie, Cindy (Gary) Pung, Lisa (Nick) Pung, and Laura Pitch; grandchildren Brad (Jenny), Jade, Alyssa, Alexa and Devin Pung, Zack, Brett and Jolee Pung and Grayden Paulin; brothers Kurt (Kathy) Pitch of Portland and Howard (Margie) Pitch of Muir; 3 stepchildren, 9 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; several nieces and a special nephew, Danny; Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Portland. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blodgett Regional Burn Center in memory of Doug. Online condolences may be made at www.schraubenlehman.com.
