Edward Baldwin

Edward Sherill Baldwin Westphalia, Michigan Edward S. Baldwin, age 81, of Westphalia, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born November 15, 1935, the son of Frank and Dorothy (McKaig) Baldwin in Lansing, Michigan. Edward had a love for the outdoors and everything it had to offer, including hunting, fishing, and looking for arrowheads. He was a loyal employee at General Motors, retiring after 35 ½ years of service. Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Martha (Schafer) Baldwin; dear children, Michael Baldwin, Gerri (Douglas) Spitzley, Allan Baldwin, Lori (William) Patrick, and Brian Baldwin; loving grandchildren, Melissa, Kayla, Samantha, Landon, Holden, and McKenzie; cherished great-grandchildren, Peter, Nathan, and Dustin; adored sisters, Joan (Richard) Ewing and Nancy (Lyle) Redding; and many special nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Judy Baldwin. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia.
