Age 55, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on November 4, 1949 in Lansing, MI the son of Oscar and Bernita Gross. Mr. Gross was a member of the United States Marine Corp. for 4 years, serving two terms in Vietnam. Edward was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and was retired from TRW. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Tony Gross; father-in-law, Roy Goerge; brother-in-law, Carl Koenigsknecht. Surviving are his loving wife of 32 years, Eva (Goerge) Gross; children, Cristy (Radu) Danca and Andy (Sara Botke) Gross; grandson, Andrei Danca, who was the joy of his life; siblings, Robert (Kevin) Gross, Annette (Daniel) Bryner, Ann (Glen Bierschbach) Gross, Elaine (Roy) Huhn and John (Mary) Gross; sister-in-laws, Judy Koenigsknecht, Ag (John) Lewis and RoseMary (Roger) Nobach; brother-in-laws, Leroy (Grace) Goerge, Curt (Mary Catherine) Goerge, Harry (Diane) Goerge, Ralph (Carol) Goerge, Brendon (Sandy) Goerge and George (Bev) Goerge; special nephews, Jake and Doug; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2005, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Portland, with the Rev. Larry King, Pastor presiding. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland from 4-9 p.m. Friday. A Vigil Service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.
