Age 68, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011. Elaine was born on July 11, 1942 the daughter of Herman and Bernita (Thelen) Hufnagel. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bingo and casino gambling. Elaine belonged to St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Eugene Thelen, two children, Alan (Kristine) Thelen, Dean Thelen and one granddaughter, Sydney Thelen and several siblings. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King presiding. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
