Elaine "Bugsy" A. Willemin Portland and Crystal Age 77, beloved mother, grandmother passed away on July 30, 2010. She was born on July 15, 1933 the daughter of Paul and Sena (Peterson) Spohn. Bugsy was a member of St. Patrick Church in Portland and a member of St. Mary's Church in Carson City. She enjoyed baking, sewing and crafts and playing bridge for many years. She was a member of the Model A Club and the Crystal Art Festival Committee. On May 22, 1954 she married William F. Willemin and together they raised 5 sons. Bugsy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 2009; her parents; stepmother, Elaine Spohn; brother, Larry Spohn. Surviving are her sons Dr. Russ (Kathy) Willemin, Denny (Meg) Willemin, Dr. Doug (Laura) Willemin, Mike (Shari) Willemin, and John (Chris) Willemin; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings V.A. (Al) Goodrich, Doreen (Jack) Warder, Diane (Dennis) Goff, Dan (Margo) Spohn, Don (Karen) Spohn and Debbie (Dan) Grohs; very special sister-in-law, Ellen (Ted) Lentz; sister-in-law, Jan Trierweiler; many nieces and nephews. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland with Rev. Larry King presiding. Rite of Committal will be in Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. both Sunday and Monday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m., Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Lansing - Stoneleigh Residence, Susan G. Komen Foundation or Fr. Flohe Foundation in memory of Bugsy.
