Sunfield Born on September 7, 1933 in Belding the daughter of Andrew and Esther (Ulrich) Breimayer, passed away on December 19, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A school teacher in her early years, Betty is best remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and true friend to those who knew her. She enjoyed playing golf, crafts, reading books and playing cards. Betty loved her family and friendships above all. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Philip; children Steve (Vikki) Spitzley, Randy (Brenda) Spitzley, Debbie (Dave) Crumbaugh, Becky (Brian) Haskin, Doug (Lori Rhodes) Spitzley; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and a sister; many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Nancy Sherrick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-6 p.m., Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. A rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m., Monday and a scriptural wake service will be held at 8 p.m.. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick Boiler Fund, the Sunfield Spy's, Lakewood Education Foundation or to Barry Communty Hospice in memory of Betty.
