Esther Zimmer

Age 94, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2005. She was born on May 6, 1911 in Pewamo, MI the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Pung. Mrs. Zimmer was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo. Esther retired from the Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons, and prior to that worked at General Motors and A.C. Spark Plug Company in Ionia. On June 21, 1950 she married Isadore Zimmer and he preceded her in death in 1983. Also preceding her in death were her sons, Dick Plummer and Sam Campbell; daughter, Patty Trierweiler. Surviving are her son-in-law, Pat Trierweiler of Portland; daughter-in-laws, June Plummer of California and Julia Campbell of Biloxi, Mississippi; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Charlon O. Mason at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo. Rite of Committal will follow at Muir Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 – 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Complete arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Area Hospice, in memory of Mrs. Esther M. Zimmer.
