Ethelyn Putney
Age 86, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. She was born on December 11, 1921 in Danby Township the daughter of Clifton and Etta (Fineout) Vanburen. Mrs. Putney enjoyed flowers, animals, and catching blue gills. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Richard Putney; infant son; 4 brothers and a sister. Surviving are her children, Janis (Daniel) Fourman of Crystal, Roger (Carol) Putney of Lyons, and Phillip (Margaret) Putney of Belding; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Harger at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland with interment following at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Friday.
