Age 60, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2004. He was born on September 22, 1943 in Bath, MI the son of Glenn and Gladys (Havens) Dowell. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Roger, Don and Bob Dowell; 2 sisters, Betty and Beverly. Surviving are his wife, Rose M. Dowell of Ionia; children, Tina (Bo) Schmitz of Kentwood, Katrina (Tim) Yeomans, Georgina (Jeremy) Melvin, Rosanna (Will) Walter, Kimberly (Scott) Engle and Tammy Dowell, all of Ionia; 10 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Kirk Starkweather, Pastor of the Ionia Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia. Interment will follow at Easton Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
