Age 74, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013. He was born on April 25, 1939 in Kent County, MI the son of Irwin and Marian (Hoyt) Hulett. Mr. Hulett was a warehouse manager for Meijer, Inc. in both Grand Rapids and Lansing before retiring. Gerald loved fishing and snowmobiling with his brothers, camping with the whole family, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and working in his garden. Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Christine Gale; father and mother-in-law, Marion and Bernice Kozdroj; brother, Max; sister, Evelyn. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Christine L. (Kozdroj) Hulett; daughters, Debbie (Bob) Shively and Lori Golden; son, Gerald/G.I. and Daniel Briggs; 13 grandchildren, Cathy and Scott, Kara, Angie, Josh and Sumer, Liz and Jesse, Rob and Amber, Britty, Jon Willie and Tiffy; 5 great grandchildren, Haley, Nick, Lily, Ben, and Gus-Gus; siblings, Phylis Cook, Sally (Don) Lueck, Bruce Hulett, David (Barb) Hulett, and Monica Hulett; sister-in-law, Jane (Fred) Scharmer; brother-in-law, James Kozdroj and David Klein; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland, with Rev. Larry King, Pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church presiding. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
