Winter Haven, FL Formerly of Portland, MI Age 89, passed away on December 7, 2011. He was born on March 17, 1922 in Wacousta the son of Roy and Carolyne (Parks) McCrumb. Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and avid alligator hunter and a excellent bowler and golfer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma; daughter-in-law, Jean McCrumb . Surviving are his wife, Arlene (Schrauben); children Linda (Mike) Simon of Portland and Roy McCrumb of Lansing; step children Patricia (Richard) Peterson of Naperville, IL, and Cindy (Mike) Jaques of Tawas Roy McCrumb of Lansing, Chuck Nicholson of Lakeland, FL, Ron Nicholson of Lakeland, FL, Fred Nicholson of Lakeland, FL, and Steve Nicholson of Portland; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother Denny (Lucy) McCrumb of Polson, MT; sisters Esther Summers of Portland, Joanne (Ron) Rock of Portland, Katie Matsonia of Colorado, and Maxine (Jack) Beebe of Portland. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland with Rev. Larry King presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The rosaries will be at 3 and 8 p.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to Portland Right to Life, St. Patrick Alumni Scholarship Fund or to the family in memory of Bud.
