Age 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2004.  She was born on October 31, 1932 and spent her early childhood in Hunington, WV.  Gloria had deep spiritual beliefs and a strong personal relationship with God.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and close friends.  She enjoyed animals, quilting, and working in her flower garden.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Mae (Poynter) Reavis and her grandson, Carson Christopher Reed.  Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Bill of Portland; 3 children, Chris (Lisa) Reed of Portland, Randy (Diana) Reed of Rockford, Linda (special friend Theresa Driscoll) Reed of Laingsburg; 5 grandchildren, Conor, Rylee, Baylee, Grace, and Holly Reed; her special cat, Petey.  Graveside Services will be conducted by the Rev. Paul Bailey at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Portland Cemetery.  Per her request, there will be no funeral home visitation.  In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sparrow Hospice in memory of Gloria Joan Reed.
