Harriet Hogle

Harriet Ann Hogle Pewamo, Michigan Age 92, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014. She was born on August 25, 1922, the daughter of Philip and Bertha (Bower) Kramer. Mrs. Hogle was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo. Harriet graduated from the St. Lawrence School of Nursing and was a practicing nurse for 56 years, where she worked as a surgical, occupational and school nurse. She worked for Dr. Kopchick for over 50 years. Harriet enjoyed caring for others, dancing, and spending her summers in Leland, Michigan with her family. Preceding her in death were her husband, H.B. Max Hogle; parents; siblings, Helen (Harry) Sabin, Phyllis (Ford) Stadel, and Elizabeth (Robert) Bearss. Surviving are her children, Beth (Brad) Mowatt of Muir, Julie (David) Pung of DeWitt, and Fred (Sandy) Hogle of Pewamo; grandchildren, Jay (Jenny) Mowatt, Ned Mowatt, Erik (Jenny) Pung, Shannon (Isiah) Clark, and Nicole Hogle; great grandchildren, Summer Clark, Max, Barrett, and Ella Mowatt; brother, Philip (Donna) Kramer; many nieces and nephews, in which she cherished them all. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo, with Rev. Charlon O. Mason presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Pewamo. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral chapel in Westphalia. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Parish, in memory of Harriet. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
