Helen Jameson

Portland Age 92, passed away on May 23, 2009. She was born on August 3, 1916 in Ionia Co. the daughter of Albert and Genevieve (Moore) Crosby. Helen was the dependable center point of her family, an active supporter of her church, an avid reader, talented seamstress and gracious hostess. She valued the importance of prayer and of spreading the gospel through the world, of receiving an education, and of loving and accepting the people around her, especially those in need of help. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Jameson; brother, Herbert Crosby; daughters Beverly Hirschman, Dawn Sheveland, and Linda Smith. Surviving are her daughters Kay (John) Dantuma and Bethel (James) Lanz; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; 7 great great grandchildren and 1 on the way. Religious Services will be conducted by Pastor John Dantuma at 11:00 a.m., Saturday,, May 30, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Portland. Private interment will follow a luncheon at the church. The family will receive friends 2-4:30 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bibles International in memory of Mrs. Jameson. Online condolences may be made at www.schraubenlehman.com
