Age 83, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010. She was born on January 4, 1927 in Charlotte, MI the daughter of Louis and Eleanora (Huhn) Fedewa. Mrs. Snell was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and for many years was a member of the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Portland VFW Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles in 1998; brothers, Elmer, Donald, Herbert, Henry, Richard, and Robert Fedewa; sister, Aileen Bednarz. Surviving are her children, David Snell of St. Cloud, Florida, and Pamela (Don, Jr.) Ockert of Eagle; 6 grandchildren; great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. Tuesday with a Scriptural Wake Service being held at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
