Obituary - Friday, February 8, 2008 Henry S. "Hank" Shindorf Ionia Age 80, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. He was born on July 21, 1927 in Belding, MI the son of Leo and Gertrude (Engerman) Shindorf. Mr. Shindorf was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. He worked in plant protection for Gen Corp. in Ionia for 38 years. He was also a member of the Portland VFW Post #4090. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife of 37 years Treva; children Mike (Dee) Geister, Mary (Dick) Allen, Gloria, Andrew (Christy) Geister, James Shindorf, Kathy (Steve) Struble and Brenda (Dennis) Heath; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; Brother Barney (Hilda) Shindorf; 3 sisters Bev (Jack) Hessler, Betty Rutz, and Maggie Shindorf; several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Kendall Harger at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2008 at Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Interment will take place in the spring at Easton Cemetery. The family will recieve friends 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the funeral home.
