Herman Fedewa Obituary

Age 84, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2003.  He was born on July 12, 1919 in Westphalia, the son of Isadore and Anna (Stump) Fedewa.  Herman retired from Tri County Electric as manager of Engineering and Operations.  He was awarded the Bronze Star crediting him with one of the highest of traditions of Military Service in World War II.  He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Portland Knights of Columbus Council #2168, and the Portland VFW Post # 4090.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roman Fedewa of Lansing; Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Catherine of Portland; son, Kurt J. of Portland; sister, Loretta Simon of Westphalia; brothers, Anthony and Douglas Fedewa, both of Lansing; many nieces and nephews; The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Charles D. Hall, Pastor at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2003 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Portland.  There will be no funeral home visitation.  Herm's wishes are to have a rosary at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Church.  In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic School or to the Ionia Area Hospice in memory of Herman A. Fedewa.
