Herman L. Gensterblum and Rose Marie Gensterblum

Herman age 83, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 and Rose Marie age 77 passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Both were members of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Herman a member Knights of Columbus #2168. They both enjoyed spending time with their family. They were preceded in death by a son, Michael; Herman's family: parents Albert and Mary Gensterblum; brothers John and Edward Gensterblum; sisters Lourina O'Connell and Florence Smith. Rose Marie's family: parents Harold and Viola Platte; brothers Jerry and Delbert Platte; sisters Bernice Esch and Beatrice Platte; Surviving are sons Anthony (Marcia) Gensterblum of Jonesville, Harold Gensterblum of Hillsdale and Louis Gensterblum of Muskegon; grandchildren James and Sara Gensterblum and Mahala Gensterblum; Herman's family, Sr. Mary Albert of Wilmette, IL; nieces, nephews and cousins. Rose Marie's family sisters Kathleen Miller, Joann (Frank) Koenigsknecht, Ellen (Ken) Bailey and Ann (Paul) Thelen ; brothers Bernard (Sharon) Platte and Armon (Joan) Platte; several nieces and nephews and cousins. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of Committal will be at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
