Age 78, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010. He was born on November 30, 1931 in Westphalia the son of Louis and Dora (Fedewa) Klein. Mr. Klein was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a Veteran of Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis, Richard, and Leo Klein. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Alice; children, Larry (Janice) Klein, Glen (Jayne) Klein, Bill (Kim) Klein, and LeAnn (Ralph) Witgen; 9 grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley), Brett (Tara), Ross, Aaron, Nathan, Ryan, Kali, Emily and Nicholas; sisters, Rose (Stanley) Schafer, Mary Ann (Edward) George, and Helen (Richard) Schneider; brothers, Anthony Klein, Stanley Klein, Clarence Klein, and Mark (Kay) Klein; several nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Monday, March 15, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo with Rev. Charlon O. Mason, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. The rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Educational Trust Fund in memory of Herman P. Klein.
