Howard Thomas Graft Portland Howard T. Graft, age 72, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017. He was a devoted employee at T.R.W. for 34 years and a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War. Howard was a long-time bowler, avid golfer, and was also an umpire for many years. He loved his wife of 40 years, Carol, who passed away in 2008. Howard is survived by his children, Tom (Karen) Graft, Jill (Brian) Foreback, Kaye Thelen, Jackie (Tom) VanDerske, and David (Samara) Graft; grandchildren, Allison (Troy) Green, Brendan and Evan Foreback, Nick, Grant, and Riley Thelen, Cassie and Katie VanDerske; great-grandchildren, Weslynn and Braeden; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Gordon (Charlene) Graft, Gary (Sue) Graft, and Cheryl Meyers; and our “special” Gross Family. The Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. Doug Gross at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The family will receive friends, Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association in honor of Howard.
