Isabelle Hansen
Age 94, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2003. She was born on September 2, 1908 in Ionia the daughter of Thomas and Violet (Coats) Walsh. Mrs. Hansen was a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ionia, a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge #998, and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, daughter, Joanne, grandson, Greg, her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are children, Esther Hampleman of Ionia, Dorothy Coulson of Ionia, Barbara Snavley of Lansing, Tom (Janet) Hansen of Lakeview and Richard (Angie) Hansen of Fairborn, OH; 20 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brothers, Martin (Lynn) Walsh of Oregon and Robert (Evelyn) Walsh of Ionia; sisters, Helen Beyer of Ionia and Doris Swanson of Ionia, and Colleen (Phil) Ayers of Ionia; many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Melvin Fox, Pastor at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. Rite of Committal will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Belding, MI. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel, Ionia. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Ionia Area Hospice in memory of Mrs. Hansen.
