We first met Jake when he became part of our family. He instantly made a great impression as an honest, compassionate, giving young man. His girls adored him and he continued to be involved in their life showing them all the love and attention that time allowed. We never know what tomorrow holds but we know who holds tomorrow. My heart is broken with sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with Livi and Sophie and his family.

I met Jacob in Lexington in 2006 and he was a very kind and gentle soul. He served with me several times at Lighthouse Ministries serving Lunch for the "less fortunate." I'm so sorry to hear of Jacob's passing, and will continue to pray for his precious daughters!

Dear Family of Jake, I was shocked and saddened today to find out about Jake's passing. I met him when we were both student assistants at MIchigan Dept of Ag back in the early 2000s. His obituary shows what a faith-filled and caring person he was, and that's how I remember him too. I remember running a 5k in Portland with him and attending a lunchtime prayer service at St Mary's Cathedral with him right after 9/11. Last time I saw him was a few years ago, at Mass. I will be keeping all of you in my prayers, that you feel God's arms around you through this. Special prayers for his two little girls. May Jake's soul rest eternally in God's loving and merciful arms.

Dear Mr. & Mrs Lehman, Mr. Russell & Family : It has been an honor to have worked with Jake at Toyota. I have known him for over 10 years, not only at work but as a brother of my church - St. John's Catholic Church. He was so sweet and always willing to listen and genuinely showed interest in my sons well being. He was a very hard and dedicated worker and will be missed as part of my work family. I pray for you all and wish peace in your hearts, knowing that Jake was a wonderful person, father, co-worker and friend.
