James Kissane
Portland Age 69, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011. Jim was born on September 22, 1941 the son of Francis and Dorothy (Wilcox) Kissane. He worked as an International Representative for the U.A.W. and as Union Steward at Lansing Drop Forge. Jim was the owner and operator of J.D. Klassics. He enjoyed working on classic cars and took pride in tending to his yard. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Francis. Surviving are his children, Scott (Shari) Kissane, Sharon Kissane, Jim Kissane all of Lansing and Jeff (Michelle) Kissane of Vail, CO; grandchildren, Nick, Jared, Marissa, Mathew, Rickie Lee and Savannah; great grandson, Diego; mother, Dorothy Kissane; siblings, Douglas (Carleen) Kissane, Marlene (Larry) Schrauben, Linda Wohlfert, Thomas (Toni) Kissane, Kathy Clark and Patricia (Mike) VerPlanck; many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland, MI . Interment will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M.
