James Paul Rademacher Westphalia Age 81, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014. He was born on August 10, 1932 in Westphalia the son of Robert and Ludwina (Arens) Rademacher. Jim was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and retired from Consumers Energy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his grandchildren play sports, the Detroit Tigers and loved tending to his garden. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary Ann (James) Koster and Anita Belen; brother, Eugene (Joan) Rademacher; granddaughter, Kari Droste. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Gladys; children Lonnie (Carol) Rademacher, Lynn (Gary) Simons, Lisa (Ken) Droste, LeAnn (Tom) Droste and Lori (Jon) Thelen; grandchildren: Kyle, Corey and Andy Rademacher; Garrett, Ross and Cody Simons; John (Kelsey) and Brad Droste; Dena and Heidi Droste; Justin, Leslie, Ethan and Elyse Thelen; great grandson, Nicholas Droste; brother-in-law, Tom Belen; many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mathias Thelen at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St., Westphalia. The rosaries will be prayed at 8 pm., Sunday and 3 p.m., Monday. The Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m., Monday.
