James Trierweiler

Age 71 , passed away on Decemebr 24, 2004. He was born on January 30, 1933 in Westphalia, the son of Peter and Clara (Platte) Trierweiler. Mr. Trierweiler was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Portland. Jim was a a well known tenor with the Portland Civic Players and the Lansing Symphonic Choir. He also enjoyed singing at numerous area weddings, music and gardening. He was preceded in death by his 6 sisters, Dorothy, Ethelyn, Leona, Lucille, Rosemary, and Helene and 4 brothers, Elmer, Paul, Harold, and Jerome. Surviving ar his wife of 39 years, Janice; children, David Trierweiler and Deanna (Rick) Leik both of Portland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King, Pastor, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home 210 E. Bridge St. Portland. The rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m., Sunday and 3 p.m., Monday. A Scriptural Wake service will be held at 8 p.m., Monday.
