Jane T. Miller

Jane Theresa Miller, age 83, of Westphalia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was born August 21, 1934, the daughter of William M. and Marian E. (Hufnagel) Pline. Jane was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and playing cards. Most of all, she valued her grandchildren and the time she spent with them was very important to her. Preceding Jane in death are her parents; beloved husband of 51 years, Gerald; twin baby infants; and her brother, David (Audrey) Pline. Jane is survived by her adoring children, Michael (Kathryn) Miller, Dennis (Cindy) Miller, Karin (Ron) Katch, Conni (Tim) Thelen, Bob (Bobbi Jo) Miller, Nanci (Thor) Kurz, and Beth (Paul) Smith; 19 treasured grandchildren; 25 cherished great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; dear sisters, Rosemary (Richard) Platte and Linda (Roy) Simmer; and several special nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St., Westphalia.
