Jeanette Keilen

Lansing State Journal Jeanette Mary Keilen Westphalia Age 81, passed away on May 6, 2007. She was born on June 1, 1925 the daughter of Arnold and Mathilda (Thelma) Weiland. Mrs. Keilen was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Westphalia and the Christian Mothers Society. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, and flower gardening. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. On May 3, 1945 she married Herbert Keilen in Westphalia and last week they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leon Weiland; sisters Rita Miller and Irene Schrauben; son-in-law John Voisinet. Surviving are her husband Herbert; 4 daughters Ruth Voisinet of Laingsburg, Jane (Vic) Voisinet of Eagle, Patricia (Timothy) Jackson of St. Johns, and Donna (Robert) Besinger of St. Johns; 2 sons Thomas Keilen and Daniel (Kathy) Keilen both of Portland; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister-in-laws Anita Fitzpatrick of Ionia and Evelyn Weiland of Westphalia; brother-in-laws Vincent Keilen of Lansing and Francis (Hilda) Keilen of St. Johns; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Cecilio Reyna at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at St. Mary Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. The family will receive friend 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday at the St. Mary Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St.. The rosaries will be prayed at 3 and 8 p.m., Monday and 3 p.m., Tuesday. There will be a Scriptural Wake Service held at 8 p.m., Tuesday. For those wishing memorial contributions may made to the charity of one's choice.
