JoAnn Simon Pewamo, Michigan Age 79, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. She was born on April 3, 1936 in Owosso, MI, the daughter of Leo and Eva (Wille) Serr. Mrs. Simon was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo. JoAnn enjoyed traveling to Florida, and spending time at Lake Isabella. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Rita Condon; brother, Donald (Erna) Serr. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Gerald "Jake" Simon; children, Cindy Noffke, Thomas Simon, Timothy (Liz Platte) Simon, Lori Simon, and Gina (Tony) Saucedo; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Susan) Serr. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo, with Rev. Charlon O. Mason presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Pewamo. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. Rosaries will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
