John Peter Lich III John Peter Lich, 74, of Portland MI. born October 16, 1940. "Johnny", son of John and Nellie Lich, loving husband of Shirley (Haller) Lich, passed away on October 29, 2014 after a 14 year battle with multiple myeloma. Cancer, however, did not define John’s life as a loving father, deer hunter, friend, pilot, farmer and owner of Lich Farm Service. He is survived by his wife and soul mate Shirley, Their marriage of 53 years brought joy because of their children, John Lich IV, David (Joanne) Lich, Julie (Bryan) Young and Patricia (Mike) Motley. He is also survived by six grandchildren. Jordan, Colin, Kaylee, Mike, Josh, Camille and siblings: Larry (Mickey) Lich, Evelyn (Ken) David, Linda (Larry) Tower. He will be greatly missed by his family, nieces and nephews, former customers, friends and sisters and brother. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The family will receive friends 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S.
