Age 60, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. He was born on October 11, 1949 in Flint, Michigan. He worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections for 33 1/2 years before retiring as a Seargent at IMAX. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Linda Kluzak-Schluckbier of Ionia; mother, Mary Lee Schluckbier of Ionia; daughter, Lisa (Joe) Hostler of Lititz, PA; sons, Don (Janet) Schluckbier of Ionia, Guy Schluckbier of Ludington, and Jack (Elma) Schluckbier of California; step daughter, Lynn Mier of Ionia; brothers, Jim (Sara Jane) Schluckbier of Columbus, IN, and Rick Schluckbier of Traverse City; 6 grand daughters; several nieces and nephews. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich Street, Ionia with Mr. Jim Moore, officiating.
