Joseph Frederick Herald, age 70, of Hubbardston, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017. He was born January 24, 1947 to Louis and Ireta (O'Berry) Herald in Lansing, Michigan. He was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Hubbardston. Joe was a devoted employee at General Motors for more than 28 years. He was a very caring man, always being sure to visit those who were sick or who just needed a friend. Joe was a talented musician; he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and watching eagles outside of his home. Joe is survived by his siblings, Frances (Bob) Case, Rosie (Dewey) Howard, and Anita (Earl) Heppard; very special friend, Ann Fedewa; and brother-in-law, Patrick Klein. Preceding Joe in death are is parents; brother, Louis "Bud" (Wanda) Herald; and sister, Catherine "Kay" Klein. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Hubbardston. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
