Joyce E. McClung Portland, Michigan Age 82, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013. She was born on December 30, 1930 in Lansing, MI the daughter of Hamner C. and Flaudie (Fleck) Butler. Mrs. McClung was a member of the Portland United Methodist Church, and the V.F.W. Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary. Joyce worked at Kroger for several years, and the Michigan School for the Blind for many years, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed meeting her friends for lunch at Walt's on Inn. Preceding her in death were her husband, John R. McClung; son, Dennis McClung; several brothers and sisters. Surviving are her son, Randy McClung; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Betty) Butler of Florida. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland, with the Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson, Pastor of the First Congregational Church presiding. Interment will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
