Julius M. Simon<br/>Westphalia<br/>Age 73, passed away on October 26, 2015 following complications of a massive stroke. He was born on November 21, 1941 to Julius A. and Elizabeth (Cook) Simon. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Westphalia, St. Mary's Class of 1960 and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He frequently attended Mass at St. Gerard Church in Lansing and had great respect for Fr. John Klein. Julius loved farming and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of nature and loved his Border Collie, Nipper. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Monica (Edgar) Schneider; brother-in-law, Mark Koenigsknecht as well as several dear nieces and nephews (Diane, Mike, Donna and Gary). Surviving are his sisters Doris (Bill) Barker, Joann (Don) Feldpausch, Genevieve (Joe) Pung and Mary Koenigsknecht as well as many nieces and nephews, good friends and good neighbors, his special friends Steve, Jamie, Alexa and Cameron Simmon. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Mary's Church. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St. The rosaries will be prayed at 3 and 8 p.m. Arrangements are with Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com<br/>
