Kathryn Miles

Portland Kathryn Ann Miles of Portland, passed away on January 9, 2011. Kathy was born November 13, 1942 in Carson City the daughter of Elmo and Bernice Patton. She completed high school and later Cosmetology School in 1961. During her working years she was employed at several beauty salons in addition to Kroger, Ebernhard's and Feldpausch stores. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Richard; children, Brian of Holt, Lori (Jim) Perras of Mason; grandchildren, Chelsey and Miles Bonaparte of Mason; sisters, Connie Hofer of Portland, Nancy (Jim Van Ells) Williams of Florida, and Jeanne (Randy) Curtis of Ionia; brother, James (Rosalie) Patton of Ionia and several loving nieces and nephews. Honoring Kathy's wishes, cremation has taken place. The Memorial Service will be conducted by Dr. Rev. Marilyn V. Danielson at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 13, 2010 at the First Congregational Church, 421 E. Bridge St., Portland. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice House of Mid Michigan, St. Lawrence Campus, 1210 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, Michigan 48915.
