Kathyleen A. Rogers Portland Age 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. She was born on July 3, 1918 in Sebewa, Michigan the daughter of Jacob and Bernice (Halliday) Sandborn. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Portland. She was active in 4H and the Portland Riding Club. Kathyleen is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 62 years, Donald; and brother, Max Sandborn. Surviving are her children, Larry (Cheryl) Rogers, Joan (Jim) Trumble, Mary (Bill) Leonard and Douglas (Judy) Rogers; sister-in-law, Delores Sandborn; brother, Dwaine (Lois) Sandborn; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, Portland; with Pastor Gregory R. Wolfe officiating. Interment will take place at East Sebewa Cemetery in the Spring. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Ionia Area Hospice or the First United Methodist Church in Kathyleen's name.
