Age 34, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009. She was born on April 21, 1975 in Lansing the daughter of Richard and Shirley (Bachelder) Teachout. Kelly was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She owned and operated Salon Jabez in Portland and was also an educator for Rusk. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gary Barnes. Surviving are her husband of 13 years, Greg Barnes; children, Rikki, Dominic, and Vincent; parents, Rick and Shirley Teachout of Portland; mother-in-law, Marcia Barnes of Portland; brother, Chad (Mary) Teachout of Portland; sister-in-law, Sheri (Russell) Smith of Lyons; nieces and nephews, Nicole and Jeremy Teachout and Tyler and Emily Smith. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. with a scriptural wake service held at 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rikki, Dominic, and Vincent Barnes Education Fund, in memory of Mrs. Kelly Lynn Barnes.
