Kenneth L. Nevins Portland, MI Age 75, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2006. He was born on October 5, 1930 the son of Archie and Ruby Nevins. Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sebewa for nearly 30 years. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker for A.O. Smith in Ionia and T.R.W. in Portland. He also very much enjoyed being a greeter at Meijers in Ionia. Kenneth had many hobbies including gun blueing, quilting, golfing, farming, traveling, and watching minor league baseball. His grandchildren were also very important to him. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Pauline. He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Chris) Lemke of Grand Rapids, and Linda Nevins of Pasadena, Texas. Grandchildren, Jordan, Bethany, Abagail, Hannah, Morgan, and Olivia Lemke. Siblings, Arthur (Joyce) Drake of Verm ontville, Bruce (Joyce) Drake of Riverdale, Clare (Shirley) Drake of Lansing, and Melvin (Virginia) Drake of Westphalia. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Larry D. Saunders of the First Baptist Church in Sebewa at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home 210 East Bridge Street, Portland. The family will be receiving friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the First Baptist Church of Sebewa or Cornerstone University. Online condolences may be made at schraubenlehman.com.
