Kenneth Schrauben
Age 64, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. He was born on August 25, 1947 in Lyons, MI the son of Mathias and Cornelia (Simon) Schrauben. Mr. Schrauben was an avid tractor puller and enjoyed restoring old tractors. Ken was a mechanic and is retired from the Ionia County Road Commission and was a member of the American Legion in Hubbardston, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bingo and going to the casino. He also had a great love for his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jo; parents; brother, Carl Schrauben; infant daughter, Renee. Surviving are his wife, Connie; children, Rodney (Christie) Schrauben of Pewamo, Veronica (Jim) Dean of Portland, and Kevin Schrauben of Pewamo; grandchildren, Chelsey and Nickolas Schrauben, Zackary and Charlie Dean, Tayleigh and Memphis Schrauben; sister, Mary Ellen (Brent) Sabin; step children, Carissa (Mike) May and Corey Koelsch; mother in law, Ethel Clark. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland with Rev. John Piercefield presiding.
