Laura M. Staal Muir, Michigan Age 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. She was born on September 5, 1920 in Ionia, MI the daughter of George and Alice (Stanton) Harden. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Claude Staal; daughter, Florence May McCoy; siblings, Corabell Baldwin, Verma Harden, Florence Crankshaw, Walter "Bud" Harden; many nieces and nephews. Surviving are her children, Laura "Rita" (Troy Shellenbarger) Slusher, Ellen Patrick, Katherine (Charles) Pung, and Walter Rybicki; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; caregivers, Jamie and Kristy Neace. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich Street, Ionia, with Rev. Kenneth Harger, Pastor of Shiloh Community Church presiding. Interment will take place in the spring at Tuttle Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Monday.
