Leon N. Ellsworth Ionia Leon N. Ellsworth, age 80, of Ionia, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017. He was born July 8, 1936 to William and Evelyn (Walter) Ellsworth in Bowling Mills, Michigan. Leon enjoyed fishing, hunting for morel mushrooms, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He retired after over 30 years of service at Chrysler and Fisher Body. Leon was a long-time member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ionia. He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of over 50 years, Carmen; step-daughter, Susan Thomas; and several brothers and sisters. Leon is survived by his cherished daughter, Julie Ellsworth; son, Elliott Ellsworth; step-son, Allen Thomas; three grandchildren, Alex, Cody, and Patrick; and step-great-grandson, Leon. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, 145 E. David Highway, Ionia. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
