Leta Thompson

Leta M. Thompson Dimondale, formerly of Portland Age 81, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006. She was born on January 9, 1925 in Ravenna, MI. the daughter of Ernest and Minnie Eadie. Letaloved her flowers, playing cards, and watching the Detroit Tigers. She was a 4-H leader and taught sewing for several years. Most of all, she loved to spend a quiet afternoon fishing on the pontoon with her husband, Marion. Leta was preceded in death by Marion in 2004. Surviving are their children: Jerry (Marilyn) Thompson of Myerstown, PA, Nancy Thompson of Lansing, Eileen (Joe) Honsowitz of Eaton Rapids, and Jim (Bobbie) Thompson of Portland; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Myrna Lawrence of Muskegon; brother, Norman (Pearl) Eadie of Ravenna; sister-in-law, Doris Eadie; brother-in-law, Lyle Sugarbaker of Ravenna; many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Paul Bailey at 12 Noon on Monday, July 31, 2006 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge St. Portland. Interment will be in Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3-7 p.m.,on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at the funeral home. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran Rd.; Charlotte, MI. 48813 in memory of Leta.
