Age 97, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away on August 2, 2010. She was born on September 18, 1912 in Fowler the daughter of Joseph and Antoinette (Rademacher) Schneider. Mrs. Fitzpatrick worked for 25 years as a nurse for the Carson City Hospital. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia, the Altar Society, and the Lydia Family Circle of the Church. She married Leo Fitzpatrick on November 5, 1935 in Fowler and he preceded her in death in 1975. Also preceding her in death were 2 sons, Leo G. Fitzpatrick in 1977 and Edmund Fitzpatrick in 2009; sisters, Mary, Esther, Rose, Rita, and Sr. Bernardis; brothers, John, Edward, Herman, and Anthony. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy (Gerald) Platte; daughter-in-law, Wilma Fitzpatrick; many special grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; sister, Therese Johnson; brother William (Belva) Schneider; sister-in-law, Loretta Schneider. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Friday, August 6, 2010 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia with Rev. Thomas Boufford, presiding. Rite of Committal will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Hubbardston. The family will receive friends at the St. Mary Funeral Chapel, Westphalia from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday and 3 and 7 p.m. Thursday. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia.
