Louis Piselli

Age 78, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2005. He was born on June 22, 1927 in Ionia, MI the son of Ralph and Mary Piselli. Mr. Piselli was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #944, graduated from Ferris State University College of Pharmacy in 1952, and owned and operated Hansen Drug Store in Sheridan from 1966-1984. Lou enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golf, and loved tending to his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank. Surviving are his wife, Jean of Ionia; 3 sons, John (Julie) Piselli of Ionia, James (Diane) Piselli of Ionia and Joseph (special friend, Ann) Piselli of Lansing; 2 step children, Gay (Tim) North of Ionia and Rich (Pat) Lower of Ionia; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Edith "Dollie" Bailey of Ionia; numerous nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Melvin Fox, Pastor at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday. A Scriptural Wake Service will be prayed at 8 p.m. Sunday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Ionia Area Hospice, Ss. Peter and Paul School Fund, or to Heartland Healthcare, in memory of Mr. Louis A. Piselli.
