Madeliene May Cole Eagle Madeliene May Cole, age 89, of Eagle passed away November 15, 2016. She was born October 8, 1927 to Hugh and Velma (Lamb) Whitmore. Madeliene enjoyed flowers, animals (especially her Chihuahua’s), playing cards, and cooking; but most of all, she loved her family, who meant the world to her. Madeliene is preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life and first husband, John Blackman; her second husband, LaVern Cole; first-born son, Edward John Blackman; youngest son, Ronald LaVern Cole; granddaughter, Laura Ann (Powelson) Chaffin; and sister, Betty (Bob) Moyer. She is survived by her children, Katrina (Jeff) Burt, Judy Lynn (Powelson) Marks, and Bill Cole; grandchildren, John David (Naomi) McPherson, Daniel Justin (Andrea Pell) McPherson, Bridgette Joy, and Ed Blackman; great-grandchildren, Ean, Corbin, and Jameson McPherson, Brent and Cody Powelson, Delana and Greta Joy, and Madeline Blackman; special niece and nephews, Jim (Val) Moyer, Kirk (Linda) Moyer, and Cheryl (Jim DuMont) Moyer; and many great nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Bob Beckett at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. There will be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at North Eagle Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
